VIP Golf Academy has been in the golf industry for over 3 decades, experiencing the ebb and flow and learning from the changes in the industry. Having a firm understanding that every client will come to enjoy the wooded terrain and large greens of our North Carolina golf schools, with a unique combination of skill level, physical ability, and confidence, is where effective teaching begins. This is why we only work with the TOP PGA and LPGA Professionals in North Carolina, with an average of over 20 years of teaching. Unless you come to us as a completely new golfer, we work with what you already have. No matter the handicap, we make edits to your current swing; we do not attempt to recreate it. Clinic-style North Carolina golf schools apply the same teaching methods to groups of students who all have different needs, completely negating the golfer’s existing skill level.

The COVID-19 era boasted one of the most drastic changes to the industry in decades, with North Carolina golf schools popping up all over to capitalize on the growth of the flexible North Carolina golf season. All of VIP Golf Academy’s North Carolina professionals work directly for the company and are all vetted to ensure their teaching standards align with our mission of providing the best personalized instruction possible every time. Meanwhile, the competition are what we call “brokers”, acting as a middleman between client and course, with no real relationship to any PGA Professionals or facilities. These competitors also emphasize on-course play as part of their program. While this could seem like a benefit, two hours of instruction in the morning, then hopping on the course after lunch, runs the risk of the golfer falling right back into old habits. Oftentimes, the “broker” companies and clinic-style golf schools fall back on this as a perk because they do not vet their golf professionals and cannot guarantee what kind of service their client will receive.

We encourage you to trust and rely on your Teaching Professional to do what they get paid to do: teach you! If this means you need to drill on the range for a while, it is encouraged that you trust that this is what is necessary to improve your game. You’re paying for individualized instruction with a TOP PGA or LPGA Professional at one of our North Carolina golf schools. Utilize that valuable time to get the necessary information and do the work they recommend! They will know when you are ready to take it to the course.
