VIP Golf Academy has been in the golf industry for over 3 decades, the entirety of which the co-owners spent building relationships with PGA and LPGA Professionals all over the country. One of the oldest relationships of which exist between co-owner and the incredible Teaching Professional holding down the fort at our incredible Myrtle Beach location, which stands out among South Carolina golf schools.

Such a large amount of time in the industry has allowed VIP to experience the ebb and flow of the industry. Having a firm understanding that every client will come to enjoy their time at our South Carolina golf schools with a unique combination of skill level, physical ability, and confidence is where effective teaching begins. This is why we only work with the TOP Class “A” PGA Professionals in South Carolina. Unless you come to us as a completely new golfer, we work with what you already have. No matter the handicap, we make edits to your current swing; we do not attempt to recreate it. Clinic-style golf schools apply the same teaching methods to groups of students who all have different needs, completely negating the golfer’s existing skill level.

The COVID-19 era boasted one of the most drastic changes to the industry in decades, with golf schools popping up all over to capitalize on the growth of the flexible South Carolina golf season. VIP Golf Academy’s South Carolina Class “A” professional works directly for the company and was not only vetted to ensure their teaching standards align with our mission of providing the best personalized instruction possible every time, but also grew these standards alongside co-owners, so the alignment is truly guaranteed. Meanwhile, the competition is what we call “brokers”, acting as a middleman between client and course, with no real relationship to any PGA Professionals or facilities. These competitors also emphasize on-course play as part of their program. While this could seem like a benefit, two hours of instruction in the morning, then hopping on the course after lunch, runs the risk of the golfer falling right back into old habits. Oftentimes, the “broker” companies and clinic-style South Carolina golf schools fall back on this as a perk because they do not vet their golf professionals and cannot guarantee what kind of service their client will receive.

We encourage you to trust and rely on your Teaching Professional to do what they get paid to do: teach you! If this means you need to drill on the range for a while, it is encouraged that you trust that this is what is necessary to improve your game.
